The majority of our menu is gluten free. This includes: all of the meats, all of the sauces, baked beans, pickles, coleslaw, and jalapeno poppers. However, we cannot guarantee our gluten free menu items will not come in contact with other menu items that contain gluten.
Yes! We regularly cater for business lunches, wedding, family events, etc. When catering with Porter’s your food will be packaged conveniently to be set out for guest to self serve. Catering orders are for a minimum order of $100. For a personalized catering quote please inquire via the catering tab of our website or call us.

Yes, we make everything fresh every day. That includes our sides! Because real barbecue takes many hours to prepare our menu is served on a first come, first served basis. Some folks might assume we are not making enough food when we sell out of an item early, but it is not that simple. Each day we prepare an average of 600 lbs. of meat. We encourage our customers to come as close to opening as possible to have the entire menu available to them. We believe the word “barbecue” often gets misused or confused with “grilling”. A lot of folks refer to grilled burgers, chicken or hot dogs as barbecue or BBQ. Technically barbecuing is referring to the process of cooking meat at low temperatures (about 225 degrees) for many hours with indirect heat provided by burning hardwood. We cook our barbecue the authentic way for up to 14 hours to allow the meat to become tender and full of rich smoky flavor. Real barbecue means were committed to doing it the old school way. No shortcuts and no nonsense, just REAL barbecue.
Yes – our newest menu item is available in our $13/per person and the build your own packages. For orders over 50 we require at least a week advance notice.
Once the details are confirmed we will email you an invoice via our credit card processor, Square. Click the link in the invoice and submit payment with any card of your choice. All invoices are due within 24 hours to secure your order on the requested date and time. All catering is on a first come, first paid basis. Remember, if you need longer to confirm final numbers you can always place a deposit!
We have a two meat option! Also, you can order any additional meat you would like by the pound. We do not recommend offering more than two meats without adding additional portions. The first number of guests may prefer one meat, leaving none for the rest. Also, guest may take some of each meat which leads them to receiving more than the ½ LB serving per person.
The food is packaged in steam pans and then placed in sturdy, stackable, catering boxes. This provides for insulation and presentation. Simply open the boxes and remove the lids and allow guests to self-serve.
Jalapeno poppers are an in house item only. If they are available you are welcome to order them during the time you pick up your order.
Our catering is customizable! All the meat can be ordered by the weight and the sides by the pan. We recommend a ½ lb serving of meat per person (includes bun). Also, pans of sides come in 25 and 15 serving increments. You can also add extra meat or sides to any per person option!
No problem! We can secure your date and time with a non-refundable deposit. The deposit is $200 plus tax, for a total of $217.20 We will send you an invoice with the date and time for your final order and payments to be submitted.
A bun per person (excluding ribs), barbecue sauce, napkins, paper plates, silverware, and serving ware.
Catering pickup orders are only available at the Richland location! When you arrive at the restaurant there is no need to get in line. Just head to the register!
Our staff has already prepared your order and is anticipating your arrival. Let them know you are here to pick up your catering and one of our staff members will help bring the boxes out to your vehicle with a cart.
Yes! Delivery costs $30 within 15 miles and is subject to availability. There is an additional cost for long distance deliveries to be calculated. Please note that delivery includes set up of the boxes on the provided tables, but does not provide service or an on-site representative. Food is packed for guests to self-serve. Please let us know what time you would like your guests to be eating so that we can plan accordingly for delivery time based on the location and size of your order.
